Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software components for on-prem and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in planning, architecture, and research around on-prem and cloud deployments.
- Build, package, deliver, and maintain open-source and/or in-house software components designed for integration in a C/C++ development environment.
- Extend existing components to add new capabilities and build an abstraction layer to facilitate integration by other teams.
- Provide examples, documentation, and technical support related to software components.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to support and extend CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and may take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities.
- Perform complex development activities that may require extensive analysis and design.
- Collaborate to make the team contribution greater than the sum of individual contributors.
- Participate in scrum meetings and interact constructively with colleagues.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of commercial experience, MS with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 1 year experience.
- Expertise in devops tools used to build and test large software with many dependencies in the C/C++ ecosystem on Windows and Linux.
- Experience delivering pipelines in environments such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- C/C++, Rust, C#, Python programming language, interoperability between Rust and C/C++.
- OAuth2, OIDC, KeyCloak, Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
- CLI from AWS or Azure.
- Certifications in relevant cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Cloud Certified.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial software development environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous testing.
