Job Title: Operator - Cutting Tool Specialist

Job Description:

  • Tool Preparation: Cleaning of cutting tools before machine processing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Tool Repair: Induction tool repair to extend the lifespan of cutting tools.
  • Material Preparation: Cutting of bars for robot preparation to streamline the manufacturing process.
  • Tool Sharpening: Tool sharpening on conventional and/or digital machines under supervision to maintain cutting tool quality.
  • Tool Finishing: Drying and packaging of tools after sharpening to ensure they are ready for use.
  • Quality Control: Quality control and measurement of sharpened tools to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Tool Identification: Labelling of tools according to procedures to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
  • Administrative Support: Administrative tasks related to operations to support the team's efficiency.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: First level maintenance of machines and weekly maintenance and cleaning of work station to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Work Schedule: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 12pm and 1pm to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm.

  • Personal Qualities: Autonomous, meticulous, and serious individuals who are able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with computers or numerical control systems to support the manufacturing process.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Team players with adaptability and versatility to support the team's efficiency and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in industry and machining to support the team's expertise and knowledge.
