We are in search of a skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to establish a BI department from the ground up.
The primary objective of this department is to organize the data flow and create the necessary environment for the Executive Team and their Directors to effectively manage their departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the Data Warehouse, ETL processes (data structuring), and analytics software (such as Looker or Tableau) to deliver actionable insights.
- Implement data visualization tools and generate SQL data.
- Establish the data pipeline and integrate BI tools.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that can enhance business performance and operational efficiency.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through regular validation and quality assessments.
- Collaborate closely with all departments to conduct custom analyses and create dashboards to track the achievement of operational KPIs.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, techniques, and tools in the BI and analytics domain, recommending and executing enhancements to existing BI processes and systems.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely, adapting the communication style to suit the audience.
- Work with cross-functional teams to assist with ad-hoc data analysis requests, providing data-driven insights and contributing to informed decision-making processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar capacity, focusing on data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing leading BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Skilled in SQL and data querying languages, with a solid grasp of relational databases and data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with data modeling, visualization best practices, and data storytelling techniques.
- Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, and extract actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, focusing on translating business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus.
