Meta is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our Brain & AI team. This team is part of Fundamental AI Research (FAIR), a research organization focused on making significant progress in AI. Advances in AI are key to our mission, spanning some of the most pressing research challenges of our generation across such areas as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and neuroscience, with a particular focus on deep learning, generative models, perception and natural language processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and evaluate scalable deep learning algorithms to drive innovation in AI research.
- Collaborate with FAIR scientists on novel research in generative modeling, complex systems, and reinforcement learning to advance the state-of-the-art in AI.
- Apply knowledge of relevant research domains and coding skills to platform and framework development projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Adapt machine learning and neural network algorithms to best exploit modern parallel environments, such as distributed clusters, GPUs, and TPUs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing machine learning algorithms or machine learning infrastructure in Python and PyTorch, with a strong focus on deep learning.
- Industry research experience in generative AI, including language, image, and video processing.
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Publishing track record at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and other top-tier AI research conferences.
- Software engineer experience demonstrated through internships, work experience, or coding competitions.
