OVERVIEW:
As the Assistant Principal, you will collaborate closely with the school principal to cultivate a nurturing and secure atmosphere for students, educators, and families. Your role encompasses guiding and overseeing staff, enhancing communication, managing financial resources, and fostering a cooperative team culture. You will also step in as the principal during their absence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the principal in their responsibilities and assume their role when necessary.
- Encourage positive student conduct and back educational initiatives.
- Assist in the execution of district policies and programs.
- Provide support to educators and staff, evaluate academic performance data, and enhance teaching methods.
- Oversee classroom activities and cater to the needs of diverse learners.
- Contribute to budget oversight and human resources management.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of student attendance records and assist students facing behavioral challenges.
- Engage with parents, educators, and the community to facilitate effective communication.
- Coordinate school events, foster a positive educational environment, and uphold safety protocols.
- Supervise extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for this role, candidates should possess 3-5 years of teaching experience and a Master's Degree in education or a related discipline. A valid teaching license and Administrator Endorsement are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position will be based in a school environment, working alongside educators, students, families, and district personnel. Potential hazards may include office equipment, communicable diseases, and chemicals.
