Role Overview

We are seeking a Medical Affairs Lead for France who will establish and nurture relationships with key scientific opinion leaders while effectively communicating essential information to and from this group in collaboration with local and global marketing teams and other departments. The focus will be on plasma-derived products utilized in various therapeutic fields such as Pulmonology, Intensive Care, Transplantation, and Infectious Diseases.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Cultivate relationships with scientific thought leaders across multiple indications and therapeutic areas.
  • Organize advisory boards and scientific meetings/symposia, including the preparation of agendas, materials for speakers, and your own scientific presentations.
  • Provide medical support for marketing initiatives (Ad boards, webinars, symposia, etc.).
  • Develop medical content for educational programs and deliver formal presentations and clinical sessions as needed to external stakeholders.
  • Create internal training programs to enhance medical and scientific knowledge of our products and conduct training sessions for sales representatives and other affiliate staff.
  • Attend regional, national, and international medical conferences relevant to the disease areas and compile reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Address medical inquiries from internal and external clients, including healthcare professionals, researchers, patient advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders (e.g., payors, health authorities).
  • Assist cross-functional teams with clinical data presentations, scientific intelligence, literature reviews, and identification of clinical trial sites, while participating in clinically or scientifically relevant initiatives/projects of interest to Grifols.
  • Gather medical/scientific information from various sources, including field insights, and relay this information to the appropriate internal functions and departments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of medical content in marketing materials and oversee the sign-off process for these materials.
  • Manage knowledge in your area, staying current with literature, updates, and presentations.
  • Select and summarize relevant literature to support internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to scientific publications resulting from Grifols projects or studies, including abstract writing and manuscript revisions.
  • Provide medical input in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and value dossiers or other materials required for regulatory purposes and market access support.
  • Oversee Grifols Research programs at the country level, including Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR), Real-World Evidence (RWE), Research Grants, Scientific Awards, and educational grants.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or Medicine. A PhD, MD, or PharmD with advanced knowledge in the relevant scientific field is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Medical Affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical principles, maintaining the highest ethical standards and scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research).
  • Strong strategic thinking, influence, and advanced communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in both French and English at an advanced level.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
