Current Situation

Worklife is in a phase of scaling and needs to improve our technical level and maturity. We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who will bring best practices and play a crucial role in building our best-class product.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-impact software solutions product use-cases with elegant, readable code, and clear tests.
  2. Iterate with the Product team on specs and designs, bringing your expertise to the table to build the most appropriate solution.
  3. Adept and challenge our current architecture that blends aspects of both FinTech and HRTech.
  4. Identify our highest leverage technical investment opportunities, socialize, and document plans to enhance our systems, and lead them to success with your colleagues.
  5. Drive effectively new features, like building a role management system.
  6. Promote and cultivate best practices of software craftsmanship, nourish the team with your knowledge.
Expected Results
  1. Familiarize themselves with the codebase, architecture, and tech stack used by the startup.
  2. Identify any knowledge gaps and start learning the necessary skills to contribute effectively.
  3. Understand the company's goals, priorities, and the role they play in achieving those goals.
  4. Build relationships with their team, stakeholders, and cross-functional collaborators.
Requirements
  • A significant knowledge in software engineering.
  • A strong experience in developing backend applications.
  • A real expertise with Python.
  • The ability to become proficient in subjects you don't yet know.
  • Experience and opinions on how to handle branches and deployments.
  • Business-oriented and happy to create the product that changes people's lives and has a great social impact.
  • Fluent in French and English.
