We are seeking a highly skilled Electrification Systems Engineer to join our team at Garrett - Advancing Motion. As an Electrification Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of system processes in accordance with automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities- System Development: Support the development and execution of system processes in accordance with automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO21434)
- Technical Point of Contact: Be the technical point of contact to the customer and customer teams
- Requirements Elicitation: Elicit and analyze stakeholder requirements
- System Requirements Authoring: Author system requirements for our electric products that satisfy stakeholder requirements
- System Architecture Development: Support the development of the system architecture for our electrical products
- Functional Safety: Work with the functional safety team to develop system-level work products according to ISO 26262 for applicable products
- Integration and Validation: Support the analysis of system-level integration and validation plans
- User Guides: Author user guides for our products to provide to internal and external customers
- Technical Issue Management: Manage technical issues and coordinate through definition of problem statement, root-cause analysis, and solution implementation with customer and all cross-functional teams
- Supplier Management: Participate in supplier panel selection, supplier development, and collaborate on supplier strategies
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with an emphasis on electronics, motor controls, embedded software, or electromagnetic
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, including hardware and software development
- Product Launch Experience: Product launch experience
- Embedded Controls: Understanding of embedded controls
- Communication Protocols: Experience with in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet)
- High-Speed Motors: Experience with high-speed motors and/or powertrain applications
- Electrical Engineering Fundamentals: Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering
- Automotive Standards: Understanding of automotive standards
- Functional Safety: ISO 26262 functional safety
- Project Management: Understanding of project management
