About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Technician to join our team at Accor. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure guest comfort.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to maintain high standards of service.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance to the property, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and company policies, including health and safety regulations.
  • Support the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other critical systems.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure their work meets company standards.
  • Coordinate energy and water conservation efforts and minimize waste costs.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and organized workshop, including tools and equipment.
  • Audit and maintain all workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat and tidy and maintained in line with company brand standards.
  • Maintain gym equipment in safe working order, according to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Duty Technician, or similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Trade qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Possession of a Pool Operator qualification is an advantage.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and Opera or similar PMS.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail.
  • Multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong personal integrity.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition, and high energy levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of team members.
