Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with customers and the Solution Engineering team to design and implement cloud architectures for deploying CARTO solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying customer infrastructure needs and implementing CI/CD and cloud infrastructure for custom solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with customers and the Solution Engineering team to define cloud architectures for deploying CARTO solutions.
- Identify customer infrastructure needs and implement CI/CD and cloud infrastructure for custom solutions.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and implement processes according to industry standards.
- Develop new tools and services to enhance CARTO's platform and improve customer experiences.
- Provide support to other teams and contribute to the growth and development of CARTO's cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud security terms, including IAM, VPC, and IAP.
- Expertise with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
- Familiarity with cloud providers, including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Linux knowledge, including containers, systemd, and signals.
- Debugging mindset and eagerness to fix issues.
- Experience with Kubernetes, HELM charts, and Docker.
- Development skills and good database knowledge, preferably with PostgreSQL.
- Excellent communication skills and a good English level.
