About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Piping Materials Engineer to join our team in Nanterre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining piping and valve equipment in accordance with project schedules and allocated budgets.

About You

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of European and international piping codes, including CODETI and ASME B31.3, and technical standards such as ASME, API, MSS, API, BS, and NACE Standards EN. You will also have experience with material management and coding tools, such as Intergragh Smart Materials.

About the Job

As a Senior Piping Material Engineer, you will participate in design studies and definition of piping equipment as part of our study and supply contracts. Your main activities will include:

  • Defining piping and valve equipment in accordance with project schedules and allocated budgets
  • Supervising a team of engineers and technicians
  • Reporting to the Piping Equipment Business Manager on project
  • Assisting the Piping Equipment Business Manager and reporting to the Project Group in their absence

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing summaries of piping classes in collaboration with the Process department
  • Specifying piping classes, including job specifications and design and supply specifications
  • Developing data sheets for special equipment
  • Participating in pipe measurements, including measurement instructions and management of quantity changes
  • Developing specifications for consultation and purchase
  • Issuing calls for quantities for consultations and purchases
  • Conducting technical analysis of supplier offers, including preparation of comparative tables, clarifications, and deviations
  • Developing supplier inspection plans
  • Reviewing supplier documents
