Senior Data Scientist, AWS Generative AI Innovation Center

Amazon's Generative AI Innovation Center is a team of experts dedicated to helping customers accelerate the use of generative AI to solve business and operational problems. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work directly with customers to design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research and develop new generative AI algorithms.
- Interact with customers to understand their business needs and implement generative AI solutions.
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, and presentations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product direction.
The Generative AI Innovation Center team provides guidance on best practices for applying generative AI responsibly and cost-efficiently. We help customers imagine and scope the use cases that will create the greatest value for their businesses, select and train or fine-tune the right models, and develop proof-of-concepts.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with several years of experience in building models for business applications.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods, and/or machine learning.
- Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or MXNet.
- PhD or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or in a highly quantitative field.
- Practical experience in solving complex problems in an applied environment.
- Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Knowledge of AWS platform and tools.
