Position: Customs Trainee

Overview:

Support the customs division in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customs Operations Management:

  • Draft export customs documentation
  • Gather essential paperwork for import/export customs procedures
  • Relay import and export customs clearance guidelines to relevant departments
  • Maintain customs activity tracking records
  • Engage in monthly mandatory reporting (e.g., DEB, Statistical Declaration, etc.)
  • Manage CITES permits operationally

Monitoring and Compliance:

  • Assist in identifying the tariff classification of merchandise
  • Investigate local regulations to guarantee compliant importation of products across various markets
  • Conduct monthly mandatory audits on post-declaration of import and export activities

Projects:

Conduct studies on potential enhancements to customs procedures to modernize the customs management system within the organization.

Candidate Profile:

Educational background in customs - minimum of Bac+2

Strong interpersonal abilities (with teams, other departments, suppliers, etc.)

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities

Inquisitive by nature, eager to take initiative in research

Dynamic and driven

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Fluent in English
