About the Role
At Datadog, we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Alerting Platform Automation team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our development environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and operating automation systems that can reproduce manual actions, reducing toil and increasing efficiency. You will work closely with our Alerting engineering teams to understand their needs and provide solutions, identifying reliability bottlenecks and designing solutions to mitigate or eliminate them entirely. You will also test and measure our systems to ensure they operate efficiently and scale automatically, modifying our applications to allow them to degrade gracefully and self-heal in case of any issue.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in software development and infrastructure automation. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous learning.
