Join Our Team as a Cloud-Based Sports Media Production Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Based Sports Media Production Engineer to join our team at Host Broadcast Services (HBS). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering live sports events to a high standard, responding to issues and queries from stakeholders, and communicating with the operations team, including the client and match operators about ongoing issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver live sports events to a high standard
  • Respond to issues and queries from stakeholders
  • Communicate with the operations team, including the client and match operators about ongoing issues
  • Deliver post-event reports to the client and leadership team
  • Aid in the development and testing of operational tools that improve efficiency and quality through automation
  • Ownership of operational and technical systems, tools, and processes
  • Creating and maintaining team-specific knowledge-base articles and operational training documentation
  • Assist in the training and development of new staff
Requirements:
  • Experience dealing effectively with stakeholders during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in development or technical support
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages (particularly Python)
  • Experience in a live production environment with exposure to video encoding, production tooling, and contribution streaming protocols (such as SRT)
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
Location:

HBS has offices in Miami, Florida (US), Paris (France), and is headquartered in Switzerland. This is a fully remote position, and we are open to work with freelancers that live in a US time zone (UTC-5 to UTC-8).
