We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at ENGIE Renouvelables. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Engineering Department in the design and development of renewable energy power plants.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Engineering Department in the design and development of renewable energy power plants, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants.
- Perform or subcontract the realization of network calculation studies to demonstrate the compliance of the power plant with grid code requirements.
- Establish or subcontract the realization of equipment specifications and erection work specifications prior to launching RFQs.
- Participate in the RFQ process up to the selection of vendors and subcontractors and contract signature.
- Pilot vendors and subcontractors during subcontracted conception activities and construction activities of projects.
- Support geographical areas or any ENGIE Renouvelables partners during the Tendering phase and the Delivery phases of renewable energy power plant projects.
- Work with Yield & Performance Engineers and Tendering Project Managers to carry out Preliminary Designs studies that must be submitted by ENGIE Renouvelables when participating in Tendering phases.
- Work with other specialists of the Engineering Department and Project Managers to carry out Basic Design and Detailed Design studies that must be delivered by ENGIE Renouvelables when constructing power plants.
- H0/B0 electrical qualification or local equivalent.
- Master's degree in engineering BAC+5 or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
- One successful experience as Lead Electrical Engineer on the EPC of an industrial project.
- Proven knowledge of the solar PV, wind, and hydroelectric technical market and its key actors.
- Proven experiences and qualifications in network calculation studies and substation designs.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Experience in operation and maintenance of industrial assets is a plus.
- Self-driven and highly motivated.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
- Proactive.
- Focused on working at a high level and producing an excellent work product under changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and interface effectively with cross-functional employee groups.
- Process-oriented with strong organization skills to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an agile approach.
- Ability to explain complex issues simply in a diplomatic way.
