Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

ORIENT EXPRESS is seeking a highly skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems on our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform inspections and testing to verify the functionality and safety of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems are installed with reasonable access for future maintenance and repair.
  • Act proactively to address any defects or non-conformities identified during inspections or commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection and commissioning results.
  • Support site management in the preparation of documents for delivery and protocol of delivery.
  • Perform ad hoc patrolling of construction areas to evaluate installation standards.
  • Participate in equipment Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Contribute to the specification for future vessels.
  • Establish good working relationships with shipyard management, classification society, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Typical Background: 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
