Job Title: Principal Technical Safety

At Technip Energies, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Safety to join our team in Paris. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering technical safety consultancy advice and conducting risk assessments to ensure the safe operation of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technical safety philosophies, procedures, and reports in accordance with Genesis and project quality requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and Bow-tie analyses.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior safety engineers and participate in safety workshops.
  • Review and validate discipline documents, including reports, procedures, and models.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in Technical Safety, Risk, and Loss Prevention, with at least 4 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience in executing risk studies, including Consequence Modelling, QRA, FERA, and EERA.
  • Experience in Loss Prevention, including Active and Passive Fire Protection Philosophy, Blast protection, and Fire & Gas detection.
  • Proficiency in safety modelling tools, such as PHAST, Pipenet, and SprinKCALC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in CFD studies and associated software, such as FLACS and ANSYS CFX.
  • Interest in becoming a Safety reviews' facilitator.
  • Fluency in French language, although not essential.
Working Conditions:

The role is based in Paris, with occasional travel to client offices and project sites. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
