Procurement Specialist Senior Buyer

Position: Indirect Plant Senior Buyer
Reports to: EU Indirect Purchasing Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Regional Purchasing to support strategies and develop suppliers both regionally and locally.
- Ensure daily operational issues are managed with relevant plant personnel, resulting in improved quality and logistical performance of indirect suppliers.
- Lead RFQ, negotiations, and supplier selection for locally managed suppliers.
- Align plant functional needs with EU Commodity buyer requirements to support Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) activities, including cost reduction, warranty terms, payment conditions improvements, consignment stock, and more.
- Deliver proactive tenders for identified Indirect approved suppliers and present purchase spend analysis reporting to EU Commodity buyers.
- Manage Service Contracts to implement Year-over-Year (YoY) improvements.
- Work with internal functions to establish Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets and objectives, and monitor/report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Provide support to the Purchasing Admin regarding supplier quality and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) escalation issues.
- When required, cover Admin to expedite Purchase Orders with Indirect suppliers.
Requirements:
- Degree University qualification is essential.
- Certified in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) is highly valuable.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI, as well as SAP.
- Proven experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment of at least 5 years, covering supplier engagement, negotiation, and cost reductions.
- Strong negotiation skills to influence local functions and work to tight deadlines, with excellent time management.
- Excellent communication skills are crucial to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- English language proficiency at C1 level is essential.
- Travel may be required within the EU.
- Full driving license.
