Internship Opportunity at INRIA
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at INRIA for a 6-month internship. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on the optical sensitivity of gap plasmon resonators.
About the Project
The project aims to numerically study the sensitivity of the optical response of a given Gap Plasmon Resonator (GPR) to variations in optical indices and geometrical parameters. The candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement robust discretization strategies and algorithms using the DIOGENeS software tool.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement numerical methods for optical simulation using the DIOGENeS software tool
- Conduct sensitivity analysis of the optical response of GPRs to variations in optical indices and geometrical parameters
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement robust discretization strategies and algorithms
Requirements
- Master or engineering degree in numerical mathematics or scientific computing
- Sound knowledge of numerical analysis for PDEs
- Basic knowledge of physics of electromagnetic wave propagation
- Proficiency in Python and Fortran 2003 programming languages
