Position Overview:
Join our P&C Closing and Reporting team at SCOR, where you will take on a pivotal role as the IFRS lead. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- IFRS Results Production: Oversee the production of IFRS results, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Analysis of Technical Results: Analyze and explain Group technical P&C results, connecting business assumptions to their effects on financial statements.
- Technical Closing Participation: Actively engage in the technical closing process, verifying the accuracy of figures provided by local entities and clarifying results.
- E2E Financial Statements View: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Group financial statements production process, from OMEGA to BFC.
- IFRS 17 Solution Improvement: Contribute to enhancing the IFRS 17 solution, ensuring accurate estimate computations in OMEGA and tool evolution.
- Target Closing Process Enhancement: Play a significant role in refining target closing processes, including proposing automation solutions.
- Project Participation: Engage in various projects involving the team.
Team Development Responsibilities:
As part of building a new team, you will:
- Participate in the IFRS P&C technical closing.
- Ensure the accurate production of P&C IFRS technical results.
- Serve as the primary contact for financial statements production across teams.
- Present production status and concerns to top management in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage activities such as overseeing legal entities' technical closings, supporting entities in their closing production and analysis, ensuring data quality, and producing ad hoc analyses.
- Coordinate efforts among team members.
- Act as a technical reference for closing and controlling activities, demonstrating expertise in OMEGA computation processes.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, including auditors.
- Contribute to the development of the IFRS 17 solution.
- Assist in documenting processes.
Target Closing Process Setup:
- Actively define activities for all closing teams at both local and Group levels.
- Propose automation solutions for closing tasks.
- Enhance controls at Group and local levels, including implementation and testing.
- Establish interactions with entities.
Ad Hoc Projects:
Participate in various projects or workstreams as required.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years in finance or technical departments within a (re)insurance company, or in a consulting/audit firm specializing in (re)insurance.
Personal Competencies:
- Expertise in results control and analysis/reporting.
- Basic knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or Solvency II is essential.
- Familiarity with OMEGA is advantageous.
Educational Background:
- A Master's degree (Bac+5) or higher in Finance, Audit, or Controlling, complemented by strong analytical skills.
