Woodworking Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs to existing furniture, doors, and windows, as well as fabricating new furniture and performing other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain existing furniture, doors, and windows to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Fabricate new furniture to meet the needs of our guests and staff.
• Perform furniture polishing work to maintain the high standards of our resort.
• Assist in decoration work for functions and events.
• Ensure thorough familiarity with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
• Ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniforms, particularly when working in guest areas.
• Be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub-sections of the Engineering Department.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor and the Assistant Director of Engineer.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in woodworking and furniture repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
