Role Overview: Application Security Engineer / Penetration Tester
This position is tailored for seasoned penetration testers with a solid foundation in software engineering.
As part of the Security division, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments of features and products. You will independently strategize, implement, and meticulously document penetration tests in accordance with industry standards.

- Collaborative Security Initiatives: Work alongside stakeholders, aiding in the design, development, and testing of features with a strong emphasis on software security.
- Proactive Threat Analysis: Develop threat models for proposed features, providing valuable insights and recommending defensive strategies.
Your Impact:
- Vulnerability Management: Collaborate with external partners to replicate reported security vulnerabilities, working with R&D teams to devise and implement solutions.
- Automated Vulnerability Evaluation: Validate outcomes from automated vulnerability assessment tools, ensuring precise identification of vulnerabilities and reducing false positives.
- Manual Penetration Testing: Conduct manual penetration tests utilizing a blend of manual techniques and automated tools to ensure a comprehensive security review.
- Developer Education: Mentor and train developers on optimal security practices, creating and delivering engaging training materials as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in application penetration testing and software engineering, preferably with enterprise software/systems using languages such as C#, Java, Ruby, Go, Python, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to produce detailed penetration test reports tailored for both executives and developers, including prioritization and mitigation recommendations.
- Extensive experience with the OWASP testing guide, showcasing your understanding and application of industry-standard security practices.
- Familiarity with various web frameworks and technologies, including JavaScript, XML, SOAP, and JSON.
