We build new products from the ground up, explore methods of investment and acquisition, and experiment quickly to solve exciting problems for people that can form the basis of new Mozilla businesses.
About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Staff Product Designer to join our team. As a Senior Staff Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product vision and strategy, bringing a design-driven perspective to strategic decisions. You will be responsible for everything from sketches to prototypes to high-fidelity designs, and will be a voice and champion for your users throughout every step of the design process.
Responsibilities- Partner with product leadership to shape the product vision and strategy
- Conduct market research, customer interviews, user testing, and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs and validate product ideas
- Lead and own the design and user journey, from sketches to prototypes to high-fidelity designs
- Advocate for the user throughout every step of the design process
- Stay current with industry trends and standard methodologies to improve the design process and product quality continually
- Mentor designers and lead by example to uplevel design thinking at Mozilla
- 7+ years of product design experience, with recent experience preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
- Proven track record of designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Strong command of customer discovery, hypothesis validation, and rapid user testing approaches
- Fluency in modern design and prototyping tools and ability to build annotated and detailed mock-ups from low-fidelity to pixel-perfect designs
- Ability to communicate clearly about designs at the idea phase through the development phase and advocate for design decisions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, improving leadership and design skills, and believing that design is important to any product's success
