Safety and Reliability Senior Engineer

About the Role:

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a highly experienced Safety and Reliability Senior Engineer to join our Safety, Reliability and Environment Department in Marignane, France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage safety performance for basic helicopter evolutions
  • Support design and architecture modification choices
  • Provide operational in-flight recommendations to ensure aircraft safety
  • Coordinate and organize safety and reliability activities
  • Manage internal and external team members
  • Perform safety and reliability analysis at all levels
  • Check design characteristics to ensure safety performance
  • Support systems installation to reduce risks
  • Influence design and architectures of new developments
  • Define recommendations for flight manual modifications
  • Challenge suppliers to ensure design meets safety/reliability requirements
  • Demonstrate compliance with regulatory objectives
  • Support airworthiness and project teams in design choice and certification strategy

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Science or equivalent in aeronautics
  • Helicopter and system design or architecture experience
  • More than 10 years of experience in Safety and Reliability
  • Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and autonomy mindset
  • Value-based leadership
  • Synthetic and structured approach
  • Curiosity and willingness to discover technical aspects
