As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing factors of optimal production and hedging of dedicated physical energy assets of EPH, such as power plants or underground natural gas storages.
Key Responsibilities:- Asset Hedging Strategy Development: Actively participate in the formulation and refinement of asset hedging strategies, leveraging market insights, risk assessments, and financial analysis to optimize asset performance and minimize risk exposure.
- Daily Order Communication: Facilitate seamless execution of daily orders by effectively communicating with the Flow Trading Team, ensuring timely and accurate order placement, and monitoring order execution progress.
- Asset Profitability and Hedge Performance: Continuously monitor the profitability of assets under management and assess the effectiveness of hedging strategies.
- Market Analysis and Risk Management: Conduct in-depth analyses to understand how asset performance is impacted by price fluctuations and market dynamics.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster and maintain strong, open lines of communication with assets and clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs, objectives, and concerns.
- University graduate in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, or similar areas.
- Understanding of commodity products and markets.
- Experience or interest in energy, energy markets, and trading with a focus on electricity, natural gas, and carbon emission allowances.
- Previous experience with strategies for options hedging or gas storage optimization is advantageous.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced level of English (B2); other European languages are an advantage.
- Analytical and critical thinking.
- Detail orientation.
