Position Overview:
The Aga Khan Academies is seeking a dedicated Science Educator specializing in Biology and Chemistry. This role is pivotal in fostering a stimulating educational environment that promotes academic excellence and holistic development among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with national educational standards.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Instruct students on laboratory safety protocols and ensure responsible conduct during experiments.
- Develop assessments, assignments, and practical experiments while providing fair evaluations of student performance.
- Facilitate access to necessary resources and offer consultation times for student support.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Guide students in preparing for science exhibitions and competitions.
- Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining student records and overseeing laboratory supplies.
- Create a safe and conducive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning.
- May assume the role of a class teacher.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of teaching experience.
