We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our R&D Analytical and Sensory team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting analytical research projects to characterize and scientifically valorize complex aromatic natural extracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize analytical methods to investigate the volatile and non-volatile fractions of natural raw materials and extracts using advanced techniques such as GC-FID/MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-UV/MS, and GC-MS/O.
- Review scientific literature, conduct experiments, analyze data, create reports, and make presentations to team members and colleagues, transforming data into actionable insights and making recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with other teams in the department, analytical units of IFF, and international analytical hubs to drive cross-functional projects and identify new trends in analytical chemistry.
- Develop a network of analytical subcontractors and collaborations with research laboratories to support strategic R&D programs on Naturals.
- Contribute to the development of new product and application literature, including technical reports, invention disclosures, and patents.
- Participate in day-to-day lab activities, preventive and corrective maintenance of analytical systems, and the development, implementation, and improvement of the IFF Quality Management System.
Requirements:
- Robust skills in chemical analysis of natural products, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, targeted and untargeted approaches.
- Effective communication in French and English, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
