We are currently seeking a Deputy Commodity Buyer apprentice for our R&D Center. This center is renowned for developing innovative solutions for sustainable mobility and serves as Faurecia's global hub for hydrogen storage systems.
Why This Role is Engaging
In the role of Deputy Commodity Buyer, you will collaborate closely with Commodity Leaders. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships and negotiations, overseeing supplier utilization in various programs, and ensuring supplier performance metrics are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance Purchasing Performance:
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and industry trends
- Discover cost-saving opportunities through supplier benchmarking
- Engage in supplier negotiations
- Lead sourcing initiatives and develop business cases
- Assess supplier performance and maintain robust vendor relationships
- Reporting and Operational Support:
- Update and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare monthly performance reports in collaboration with Commodity Leaders and finance
- Manage monthly pricing updates and invoice processing
Qualifications Required:
- Final year of a Master's degree in purchasing, engineering, or business
- Proficiency in English is essential for global collaboration
- Strong team player with the ability to thrive in matrix organizations
- Resilient, self-sufficient, and capable of providing fresh perspectives on existing processes
- Previous experience in purchasing is advantageous but not essential
