Cost Engineering for Electronics Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer to join our team at A2MAC1. As a Senior Cost Engineer in the Electronics systems subdomain, you will play a vital role in managing and executing cost studies and analyses, focusing on various manufacturing processes and product knowledge in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop bottom-up costing, Zero-Based Costing (ZBC), and direction costing as per customer expectations, ensuring high-quality insights and cost accuracy.

• Plan and execute cost studies, ensuring quality, adherence to deadlines, and effective communication with stakeholders.

• Analyse input data, identify materials and manufacturing processes, and cost them using internal tools and methodologies, providing actionable recommendations for cost optimization.

• Understand and explain product operation at various levels (system, subsystem, component, function), ensuring a deep understanding of the product's functionality and cost implications.

• Identify and recommend ways to optimize the cost of vehicle features or systems, providing cost-effective solutions that meet customer requirements.

• Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies, comparing costs and performance metrics to industry standards and best practices.

Project Management and Customer Interaction

• Participate in all aspects of the project development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, and testing, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Monitor and report project progress, ensuring compliance with deliverables and milestones, and effective communication with stakeholders.

• Interact with customers during delivery and hand-over sessions, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Cost Engineering, a deep understanding of electronics systems, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, and a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience as a Senior Cost Engineer. Proficiency in costing methodologies, such as Zero-Based Costing, Should Costing, Bottom-up costing, and Directional costing methods, is essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is also required.
