As a member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and internal workings of our Hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily hotel rounds to ensure the proper functioning of lighting and parkade systems.
  • Maintain the physical appearance and overall condition of all public areas, including lounges, health club, public washrooms, and back of house areas.
  • Regularly test the chemical levels of the pool and whirlpool to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Clean pool and whirlpool filters, backwash, and tiles to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the grounds, including collecting garbage, plowing and shoveling snow, cutting grass, and pruning shrubbery and trees.
  • Attend to scheduled room checks and room calls, noting the condition of rooms and required repairs.
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Plumbing or electrical training is an asset.
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
