Rheology Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of tooling design, molding, and casting processes for optical and mechanical components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize molding activities, including machine programs, material selection, and trial definition.
- Establish and maintain relationships with material suppliers and partners to ensure Optinvent's position in the industry.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing process and supply chain description documents.
- Develop algorithmic tools for performance comparison, optimization, and tolerancing of molded parts.
- Support prototyping and fabrication of optical components, including interfacing with manufacturing partners and performance measurements.
- Design for manufacturing of high-volume optical components.
- Report to the CTO of the company.
Experience and Skills:
- Strong experience in injection molding or injection compression molding.
- Knowledge of rheology simulation tools (Moldex3D, Moldflow).
- Experience in molded plastic optical components is a plus.
- Able to perform mechanical design using software like Solidworks or equivalent.
- English proficiency is necessary.
