Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and skilled R&D Director to lead our multidisciplinary team in driving innovation and growth. As a key member of our executive management, you will be responsible for:
- Team Leadership
- Manage and grow a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
- Technical Strategy
- Participate in shaping the company's scientific strategy and direction.
- Monitor scientific literature and identify opportunities for cutting-edge technologies to support innovation.
- Maintain technological and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions.
- Project Management
- Oversee the execution of R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Establish and monitor performance indicators to measure project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary interface with various departments within the company.
- Mobilize and raise awareness about company projects with institutional partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in biochemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience leading research projects and managing scientific teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing and generating a strong IP portfolio.
- Experience in strain engineering, fermentation, bioprocessing, and downstream processing for recombinant proteins.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French.

Interview Process
We will conduct 2-3 interview rounds with the CSO, CEO, and HR Director, including reference checks and a site visit.
