- Implementing Security Measures: Deploy security technologies, establish security policies and procedures, and conduct employee training to ensure a cohesive approach to security.
- Compliance and Auditing: Develop and update policies and procedures to meet compliance requirements, conduct regular audits, and prepare compliance reports.
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Review logs, check alerts from intrusion detection systems, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IT teams, including network administrators, system administrators, and software developers, to ensure a cohesive approach to security and effective communication of security risks and incidents.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in information security and IT compliance roles, with a strong understanding of security principles and compliance requirements.
- Skills: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and industry standards like ISO 27001, as well as experience with security technologies and tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are a plus.
