We are seeking an experienced accounting expert to join our team in Paris. As a representative of Corporation Service Company, you will work closely with senior client accountants and senior management to provide accounting and financial services for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and French companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and maintaining general ledgers for new and existing clients through transaction research and assessing applicable accounting treatments.
  • Posting journal entries and keeping up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of French companies.
  • Preparing annual statutory financial statements, including notes and disclosures under IFRS or French GAAP, and ensuring compliance with relevant company law.
  • Liaising with auditors and senior team members to finalize audited financial statements and meet statutory deadlines.
  • Preparing routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables.
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns, and other French taxes.
  • Contributing to process improvement and efficiency initiatives within the accounting team.
  • Gaining familiarity with a diverse range of investment structures and products.
  • Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc finance projects and general tasks.
Requirements:
  • Baccalauréat + 2 years degree in accounting (BTS compta gestion or DUT GEA).
  • 2+ years' experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company.
  • Good understanding of technical accounting knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Conscientious and diligent with high attention to detail.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with enthusiasm for the role.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and accounting software.
