Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Director and collaborating with teams across various locations, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the optimal operation of our global Datacenter Lab systems across multiple sites.
- Providing technical leadership and oversight for an international team.
- Defining and managing projects related to infrastructure enhancements, server management, software, and storage solutions.
- Participating in the design, installation, testing, and documentation of our solutions at the relevant sites.
- Offering technical expertise and support for our R&D initiatives concerning hardware, systems, and performance.
- Addressing the most complex support issues.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel within Europe and the US may be necessary.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in system administration, including at least 3 years in multi-site/country environments.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and/or project management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
Technical Environment
The role involves working with technologies such as Linux (Redhat, Suse), Docker/containers, VMware/virtualization, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Windows Server, Oracle/MySQL, SAN/NAS, Dell hardware, Dell/NetApp storage, performance monitoring, clustering, and scripting (shell, Perl, PowerShell, etc.). Experience in web application development and Java development is also beneficial.
