Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work independently, under the supervision of the Instrumentation Studies Manager and/or Project Manager, and in collaboration with other disciplines within the framework of pre-project studies and detailed project studies. The activities and tasks to be performed will include:

  • Project Management: Management of hours allocated to system activities within the project framework, ensuring respect for the document release schedule, management of a team of experienced project engineers, coordination of activities with the Instrumentation Specialist, reporting to the Instrumentation Studies Manager, and interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Documentation: Writing of specifications for digital systems (control and safety) and telecommunications systems, design of digital system architectures (control and safety) and telecommunications systems, specification of equipment for digital and telecommunications systems, functional analyses, requisitions, and inspection data sheets.
  • Calculations: Dimensioning of systems and their footprint, lists of I/Os, lists of scales, thresholds, alarms, and instructions, diagrams and plans, including interconnection diagrams, loop diagrams (co-designed with the Instrumentation Specialist), implantation plans in technical rooms and control rooms, passage plans, and cable transits.
  • Vendor Management: Analysis of offers, writing of a comparative report, management and tracking of vendor documentation, participation in inspections, verification of certifications, and tests (FATs) (co-performed with the Inspection Service).
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with the following qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Reference in control and command systems, experience in Oil and Gas (onshore and offshore) and/or Industry.
  • Engineering Process Knowledge: Mastery of the engineering process, content, and finality of deliverables.
  • Contractual Scope Management: Mastery of the technical contractual scope.
  • Team Management: Management of a team of engineers and technicians (2-3 people), allocation of hours, and reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to understand and arbitrate technical project issues.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to manage interfaces with other disciplines (Processes, Electricity, Civil Engineering, HVAC, etc.).
  • HSE Culture: Sensitivity to HSE, knowledge of MASE.
