Position Overview:
- Degree in Automation/Industrial IT Engineering or a related technical/scientific field.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the relevant technical domain, ideally within the food production or consumer goods sector.

Role Responsibilities:
In our central corporate office, you will collaborate with an international team of specialists supporting all Nestlé Purina facilities across Europe. Your role will involve leading discussions with project teams and suppliers concerning automation and electrical design. You will adhere to all project phases in line with Nestlé Project Management Principles, from initial design to validation, including the creation of User Requirement Specifications (URS), factory acceptance testing, and commissioning support.
Daily Activities of a Central Engineer:
- Assist with our capital projects throughout Europe (new production lines, new facilities).
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to assess automation, DMO integration, and electrical specifications, executing protocols and tracking deviations to ensure compliance with our standards.
- Evaluate our safety designs and confirm that the performance levels of our safety systems meet our expectations for all equipment.
- Work closely with our design engineering team and aid in the development of new automation suppliers.
- Initiate and execute pilot projects to implement innovative technical solutions (such as inline control and new motion technologies), assess their benefits, and based on return on investment, facilitate their rollout to our facilities and new capital expenditure projects.
- Stay informed about current technologies (such as Wonderware and Rockwell) by participating in internal and external events or knowledge-sharing activities to continuously identify opportunities for enhancing productivity, safety, and ergonomics, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Provide expertise, challenge assumptions, and support the implementation of automation and digitalization projects to achieve anticipated savings.
- Foster exchanges between sites for best practice sharing and scalability of solutions.
- Keep our technical Electrical & Automation standards updated based on feedback from projects and suppliers.
- Develop your expertise to serve as a central point of contact for all our NPPE factories.
- Contribute to defining the factory of the future by offering key insights on technologies and operational technology to be implemented.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Experience in automation, particularly with Rockwell products and Wonderware SCADA systems.
