About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Alternative Credit Analyst to join our team at AXA Investment Managers. As a key member of our Alternative Credit department, you will be responsible for monitoring natural catastrophes and analyzing the exposure of counterparties to these events.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on insurance linked securities (cat bonds) in the primary market and organize investment committees with the ILS team, risk management, and traders.
- Select a pool of similar assets to price new deals.
- Extract information on natural catastrophes and losses for reinsurers and the market using web scraping, text mining, and NLP.
- Monitor ILS instruments and get reports using web scraping, extract data, and perform data cleaning and formatting.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a university or engineering/actuarial school degree from a top institution with a background in math, physics, finance, actuarial, or computer/data science. You should have proven quantitative analysis experience gained in an insurance, asset management, or financial markets environment.
