Role Overview
The Risk Solutions division is in search of a Senior Associate in Analytics Software Quality Assurance to apply analytical techniques for testing and validating statistical algorithms and analytical software. You will join a diverse and skilled team, gaining opportunities to enhance your expertise while contributing insights that elevate customer satisfaction, profitability, and the quality of our regulatory solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, documents, and executes functional, validation, and systematic testing for both new and existing software.
- Conducts numerical validation through independent coding, cross-validation with existing SAS products or third-party solutions, equivalence, simulation, or predictive performance analysis.
- Identifies defects, assesses fix requests, and confirms resolutions.
- Automates regression testing across all relevant platforms and maintains performance benchmarks.
- Reviews software design during the development phase and provides constructive feedback to developers.
- Keeps abreast of analytical methodologies by engaging with literature and participating in relevant courses or conferences.
- Collaborates with developers, product marketing managers, and industry experts to establish testing strategies and coverage.
- Reviews software documentation and offers feedback for improvement.
- Assists Technical Support and consultants in addressing customer inquiries.
- Engages with problems of moderate complexity, where analysis of situations or data necessitates consideration of various factors. Exercises independent judgment to determine suitable actions and fosters productive relationships across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience with a Ph.D.
- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, economics, or a related discipline.
- Proficient programming skills in data management and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge across multiple analytical domains.
- Basic modular programming skills (e.g., SAS Macro, functions/modules in Python or Lua).
- Basic scripting capabilities for test automation.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of the above qualifications.

- Experience in risk management, finance, or statistical modeling.
