Michael Page Africa is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer and distributor of consumer care products with a large presence in Africa, as they expand their distribution in North Africa. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to their expansion, and they are seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to drive their financial management and strategic development of their core business in Cairo, Egypt, while covering the entire North African region.
Job Description
As a key member of the executive team, you will report directly to the General Manager - North Africa and be responsible for the following duties:
- Driving financial management for two distribution facilities in North Africa, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Working closely with the executive team to drive growth in the business based on financial strategies.
- Collaborating with the financial controlling team to identify financial opportunities to increase market share.
- Preparing and analyzing financial forecasts and cost optimization reports.
- Conducting financial risk assessment reports.
- Ensuring tax regulations and financial compliance are in line with the group policies, working closely with internal and external auditing institutions.
The Ideal Candidate
You will bring 10+ years of experience as a Director of Finance, with a proven track record working for multinationals in the FMCG sector, covering North Africa. Excellent fluency in English and French is required. Previous experience working within the cosmetics or personal care industry is a bonus. You will be a self-motivated individual with great leadership skills, an advanced user of MS Office, including Excel or similar software. The role is based in Egypt, but will require traveling across North African countries.
