Senior RF Engineer

Qorvo is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join an innovative research project between Qorvo and IRIT Laboratory. This project, conducted in collaboration with Renault/Ampere, focuses on developing advanced Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radar and antenna technologies for the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead research efforts on beamforming antennas for UWB applications, specifically in the context of radar systems for automotive sensing applications.
- Design, simulate, and characterize beam forming antennas based on controlled metasurfaces.
- Develop and optimize signal processing algorithms, focusing on angle of arrival estimation and enhancing distributed radar performance in automotive applications.
- Stay updated on the latest research and technological advancements in UWB radar, beamforming, and angle of arrival estimation, and evaluate their potential application in the automotive market.
- Work closely with engineers and researchers at Qorvo as well as academic supervisors at the university, to ensure the successful completion of project milestones.
- Regularly document research progress, prepare technical reports, and present findings to both academic and industrial partners.
