The new mobility scheme encompasses neighboring territories, reimagining travel by offering diversified solutions and promoting active mobility (biking, walking) while ensuring the efficiency of the public transport network.

The Mobility Grand Projects Department

Within this department, a team of 30 individuals, including 14 project manager engineers, oversee major projects related to mobility infrastructure development. This includes tramways, Bus Rapid Transit (BHNS), bus facilities, active modes, relay parks, Garonne crossings, and intermodal hubs.

Your Role: Service Manager & Project Manager

Reporting to the Director, you will manage multiple teams responsible for managing BHNS/Tramway or other heavy mode transport infrastructure projects in both design and implementation phases. You may also lead operations as a project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As Service Manager:
  • Manage project resources and teams effectively.
  • Establish and report on performance indicators to track progress.
  • Oversee and provide cross-functional tools and support for seamless collaboration.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across different functions within the department.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to teams.
  • Guarantee budget execution and financial accountability.
  • Manage human resources in collaboration with the Human Resources Department (DAAF).
  • Organize and monitor workloads to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary contact for management exchanges with other services and departments.
  • Represent the service at various levels within Bordeaux Métropole.
    • As Project Manager:
    • Lead and manage the project team effectively.
    • Monitor, organize, and report on technical progress to keep stakeholders informed.
    • Participate in metropolitan meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive deliberations for decision-making processes.
    • Organize and lead steering committees, technical monitoring committees, and progress meetings.
    • Engage with the Fair Compensation Commission for commercial damages when necessary.
    • Process and monitor regulatory procurement, environmental, and land procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Oversee contract closures and installation handovers to ensure smooth project completion.
    • Appoint providers and monitor service delivery to maintain quality standards.
    • Represent Bordeaux Métropole to project-related partners and external stakeholders effectively.
    • Maintain strong relationships with elected officials and residents of municipalities in connection with the project mediation team.
    • Serve as the technical contact person for the communication department to provide accurate information for project promotion and marketing activities.
