Overview:

The role of the Psychomotor Therapist is crucial in addressing the developmental needs of children and adolescents through specialized psychomotor interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive psychomotor evaluations as directed by medical professionals,
  • Assess sensory-motor, perceptual-motor, and psychomotor capabilities in young patients,
  • Document findings and progress in psychomotor assessments and reports,
  • Assist children and their families in navigating therapeutic care plans,
  • Establish a supportive and trusting environment for children and adolescents,
  • Design and implement tailored psychomotor rehabilitation and therapy sessions,
  • Employ various psychomotor techniques, including body mediation, creative arts, and relaxation methods, in both individual and group formats,
  • Collaborate with child and adolescent healthcare facilities,
  • Guide and mentor students in psychomotor therapy,
  • Ensure effective communication of psychomotor care details for comprehensive patient records,
  • Stay informed on advancements in psychomotor therapy practices,
  • Promote awareness of psychomotor methodologies among healthcare professionals.

  • Unit Referring Physician(s).

Professional Collaborations:

  • Engagement with various partners, including:
    Hospital centers, healthcare and social organizations, and medical professionals in private practice.
  • Interactions within educational settings, including schools and support networks.

    Ambulatory services, hospitals, and home visit programs.

Required Skills:

The Psychomotor Therapist's Diploma is recognized by the Ministry of Health.
