About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team as a Technical Lead. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for hands-on development, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring our platform is scalable, reliable, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership
    • Define and implement the technical architecture for our dating app across the full stack.
    • Establish development best practices, coding standards, and code review processes.
    • Guide the team in making technical decisions and solving complex problems.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and assess their potential for the app.
  • Hands-on Development
    • Contribute directly to the development of our core backend services using Node.Js.
    • Build and maintain our mobile application using React Native.
    • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
    • Work closely with the product team to implement engaging user interfaces and experiences.
  • DevOps (GCP)
    • Design and manage the infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and testing.
    • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in production.
    • Ensure the security and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their growth and development.
    • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
    • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer with expertise in Node.Js and React Native.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with GCP (or equivalent cloud platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for building high-quality, user-centric applications.
  • Perfect written and verbal English and/or French.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the dating app or social networking industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or recommendation systems.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
