Purpose of the JobYou'll be joining a growing advisory team with opportunities to work on Energy Transition, Consulting, and Digital services, as well as traditional upstream and downstream markets. As part of the engineering team based in Paris, you'll be part of a global discipline engineering community that's passionate about innovation and collaboration.
Within Genesis, you'll play a key role in conceptual and detailed analysis of complex energy systems, developing associated methods and tools to improve engineering and delivery processes. Your inputs will be crucial in supporting strategic decisions for our clients, helping optimize the energy industry, and delivering solutions to achieve net-zero carbon.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering analysis to identify optimal solutions based on client drivers and communicate these solutions through technical reports and presentations.
- Carry out techno-economic analyses for energy projects, including upstream, mid-stream, downstream, and renewables.
- Work on key Energy Transition topics, such as Hydrogen, CCUS, Ammonia, Biofuels, and biowaste.
- Imagine and support the development of new digital tools to improve performance or deliver added value to clients.
- Participate in consulting activities from green fields to mature assets.
- Consolidate results and methodologies within sound deliverables.
- Liaise and interface with consulting, engineering, business, and digital teams, as well as external partners.
- Perform advisory work as defined by project, in accordance with Genesis and project quality requirements.
- Control relevant discipline engineering activities to ensure completion of safe and operable design in accordance with Genesis and project requirements, relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
- Review job scope and provide estimates and schedules.
- Communicate regularly with Client/Study Manager to ensure objectives are being met in a timely manner.
- Review all relevant discipline data.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines.
- Develop engineering strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Participate in project presentations to communicate results.
- Review all data requested by Client for approval.
- Participate in safety, environmental, operational, and design review meetings, where necessary.
- Provide support to younger engineers and mentor assigned personnel.
- Participate in Genesis global knowledge sharing initiatives within their engineering discipline.
- Capacity to lead small discipline engineering teams and/or lead small projects.
The job holder must have the following:
- Minimum education: master's degree (or international equivalent) in a subject relevant to the engineering discipline.
- Industry experience with preferably some experience in front-end studies specifically (previous experience in a consultancy, design house, engineering contractor, or operator environment).
- Experience in typical relevant technical process engineering software.

The job holder must have the following proven competencies:
- Working language for the role is English, which is essential as there is a high level of interfacing with international offices and clients (minimum TOIEC level 850).
- French language skills are preferable, but not essential.
- Experience with project management.
- Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software.
- Good report writing, communication, and social skills.
- Ability to explain discipline engineering concepts in a straightforward manner.

Working ConditionsThe role is based in Paris, in the new state of the art Technip Energies campus in the La Défense business area on the outskirts of Paris. Genesis France operates a hybrid office/homeworking model offering flexibility and autonomy to employees. Consultant can be asked to travel regionally for short periods. The role could involve working for short periods in client offices to start up projects and build client relations.
