Within the Technip Energies framework, the Paris Operating Center is recognized as the hub of excellence and expertise. The Process and Technologies Division engages in diverse areas, including low-carbon energy production technologies (such as Liquefied Natural Gas), biofuels, synthetic fuels, ethylene and polyolefins, plastics recycling, carbon capture and sequestration, green hydrogen, and various low-carbon or carbon-free energy carriers.
Our Reference Technologies are firmly rooted in the Energy Transition process and are strategically directed towards a decarbonized energy future in production, chemistry, and petrochemistry. About the Position
We are currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to become a vital member of our Sustainable Fuels and Refining team located in Paris, France.
Reporting to the Head of the Technological Departments within the Processes and Technologies Division, you will engage in various project types, primarily feasibility, conceptual, and basic design, with potential involvement in FEED and EPC phases.
As a Senior Process Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Leading and managing the activities of a process team on projects, including early-phase project calculations, sizing, process simulations, PFD, H&MB, and for FEED and EPC, extending to P&ID, specifications (equipment, instruments, and piping), design philosophies, and safety protocols.
- Overseeing complex design challenges and providing technical support for process-related issues.
- Coordinating technical interfaces for process-related matters with all stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, partners, subcontractors, licensors, engineering disciplines, and project management.
- Contributing to R&D initiatives, developing feedback notes post-project, and participating in the formulation of methods, tools, procedures, and technical guidelines.
- Organizing and leading process design reviews and P&ID assessments.
- Supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up operations of facilities both domestically and internationally.
You will execute these tasks while adhering to applicable regulations and procedures, aligning with defined schedules, budgets, and objectives, and maintaining a steadfast focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
About You:

You enjoy collaborative teamwork in an international setting across a range of projects. Proficiency in English is essential, and a basic understanding of French or a willingness to learn is advantageous.
You hold an engineering degree or a master's degree in chemical engineering or process engineering.
You possess a solid foundation in material and energy transformation applicable to the industry, encompassing thermodynamics, chemistry, energetics, and fluid mechanics.
You have substantial knowledge and proven experience in one or more of the following technological areas relevant to our Paris Operating Center:
- Low-carbon energies,
- Refining, sustainable fuels (biofuels), and e-fuels (SAF, emethanol, egasoline...),
- Carbon management and industrial decarbonization.
You are proficient in various process simulation tools, including HYSYS, PRO II, ProSim.
You are skilled in process design, including modeling and process simulations, PFDs, H&MBs, P&IDs, instrument and equipment sizing, PDSs.
You have a minimum of 5 years of validated experience in process engineering and design (or related fields such as process licensing, operations/production) within the Energy, Chemicals, or Petrochemicals sectors.
You have successfully managed and led small teams of engineers.
