Position: Software Development Engineer - Railway Sector
Company: SERMA Ingénierie
SERMA Ingénierie is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support a client in the railway industry. The role involves the creation of embedded software for systems that deliver visual and audio information to passengers on metro trains.
The primary responsibilities include enhancing and maintaining existing software by implementing functional upgrades and resolving issues.
Work Locations:
- Option 1: Aveyron: Millau
- Option 2: Montpellier
- Option 3: Flexible telecommuting with regular meetings in Millau (initial project phase in Millau)
Qualifications and Skills:
The candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electronic engineering, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Essential skills include:
- Development of application software for embedded Linux / Yocto Project
- Proficiency in C programming (C++ knowledge is advantageous)
- Familiarity with software development processes equivalent to SIL: understanding of standards NF EN 50128 and/or NF EN 50657
- Ability to produce software design documentation throughout the V-cycle
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Understanding of network protocols (MQTT, RTSP, SIP, etc.)
The ideal candidate should demonstrate meticulousness, curiosity, autonomy, adaptability, teamwork, technical expertise, and strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
