Our division focuses on Platform Excellence, Test Systems, and Customer Services.
We are dedicated to two main areas: Test Systems and IT Service Continuity.
In the realm of Amadeus Test Systems, we are responsible for establishing and enforcing standards, as well as ensuring the operational stability, performance, and overall customer experience on Amadeus Test and Training systems. This includes developing software solutions for the management and monitoring of these systems.
Regarding IT Service Continuity, our role is to oversee the resilience governance of Amadeus products in production, which encompasses availability management and disaster recovery protocols.
This role is particularly significant given the current challenges and opportunities presented by the migration of the entire Amadeus infrastructure to the Public Cloud on Microsoft Azure. Another critical project is the New Gen Altea (NGA), or Amadeus Retailing Platform, which is based on Cloud Native technology and will ultimately replace the existing Altea suite of applications.
Our Team: Test Systems and IT Service Continuity: Governance & Architecture
We are responsible for the consistency, enhancement, and evolution of both test systems and IT Service Continuity processes. We ensure that these developments, including the transition to the Public Cloud and New Gen Altea (NGA), incorporate all relevant aspects and positively influence service quality, operational costs, security measures, and governance definitions.
The team manages cross-functional IT projects from the solution definition phase through to implementation. We lead the governance processes, define solutions, and establish the IT architecture necessary to provide a high level of service for internal users, operators, and customers.
Based in various locations, as technical project managers, solution managers, or architects, we collaborate closely with counterparts in different regions and engage with numerous stakeholders, including customers, application/platform architects, quality assurance teams, R&D, tooling specialists, implementation experts, product managers, and incident managers.
Job Purpose
The Technical Project Manager for Test Systems/IT Service Continuity
oversees cross-functional projects within an IT context, working closely with the team’s architects the projects develop solutions and drive advancements in IT Service Continuity and Test Systems this encompasses technical advancements such as security and privacy compliance, public cloud migration, native cloud system development, test system datasets, disaster recovery frameworks, and availability management.manages interactions with the Amadeus agile SAFE organizations, acting as Epic Owner and participating in LPM (Lean Portfolio Management) meetingsThese cross-functional projects are highly visible (Public Cloud Migration Program, Security Office, strategic cross-functional initiatives). You will collaborate with other project managers, application and platform managers, senior architects, QA managers, and executives.
Standard Project Management Key Responsibilities
Ensure comprehensive project management from initiation to completion Facilitate the definition of solutions with all stakeholders involved Ensure the project remains on schedule (scope/cost/timeline) and manage deviations through change management processes Organize key events (Core Team meetings, steering committees, dedicated workshops) Provide clear visibility to Steering Committee members and support decision-making processes.
