Are you an Offshore Marine Systems Engineer seeking a new opportunity in Paris with a leading Oil & Gas Operator?

Role Overview:
  • Under the supervision of the Hull Buoy and Mooring Manager, oversee specific tasks as outlined by management.
  • Manage all operations related to the life extension of FPSO marine systems, including offloading buoy and tandem operations.
  • Ensure that the engineering documentation for hull appurtenances and systems, as well as offloading buoy and tandem equipment refurbishment, is optimized for immediate implementation.
  • Lead refurbishment activities for FPSO tandem systems, including organization, preparation, procedural development, planning, and coordination with various departments, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with the Floating Unit Lead Engineer to ensure compliance with certification and classification society requirements for class renewal.
  • Address conditions of class and integrity concerns related to hull and offloading systems.
  • Coordinate with mooring and hull engineers as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with OT/TL/TEC/SMA teams.
  • Develop and update inspection, operation, and maintenance manuals and plans for hull and offloading systems, considering modifications, aging, and historical system failures.
  • Clarify and formalize roles and responsibilities between the HBM FEED Team and TEEPA entities (PBF, EPT, FO), and lead regular coordination meetings.
  • Engage with client discipline specialists as needed, particularly OT/TEC/SMA naval architects.
  • Provide timely updates to the HBM Manager, assisting in communication with Project Management and highlighting progress and concerns.
  • Support the coordination and preparation of FEED mooring-related documentation.
  • Ensure that engineering, qualification, and procurement activities align with contract requirements and project specifications, issuing derogations as necessary.
  • Monitor engineering, qualification, and procurement activities for hull and offloading systems.
  • Guide FEED/service contractors towards effective resolution of interface issues related to mooring engineering.
  • Address technical inquiries from FEED and service contractors as required.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
  • Participate in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments) and ensure implementation of recommendations.
  • Actively liaise with all relevant technical specialists involved in the management of contracts, including HSE, QA, and LC specialists, as well as project services (planning, budgeting, and cost control).
  • Complete contract close-out procedures in accordance with project protocols.
  • Contribute to minimizing contractual risks associated with interfaces with other packages and identify potential risks during contract execution.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all safety and environmental studies are reviewed and updated, ensuring final designs comply with ALARP principles.
  • Confirm that designs meet all HSE requirements.
  • Adhere to company and affiliate standards.
  • Attend safety orientations as required and adjust behavior to comply with health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of hazards and surroundings.
  • Engage in initiatives to enhance HSE performance and report any issues or observations to management, proposing improvements.
  • Ensure that refurbishment work on Topside Mooring Handling equipment is conducted according to company standards, site procedures, and industry best practices.
